A New Formulation of purified extract of several
rare but extraordinary Oriental herbs: Clematis
Chinensis, Trichosanthes Kirilowii and Prunella
vulgaris, ginger oil, and white willow extract.
These outstanding herbal extracts have been used
for centuries in Asia as anti-inflammatory for joints
and arthritis diseases. |
A published research of Clematis Chinensis, Trichosanthes
Kirilowii and Prunella has undergone rigid Double Blind,
controlled clinical study, evaluated for the efficacy and
safety against a placebo in 96 patients with classical
Osteoarthritis of the knee. This formulation demonstrated
a powerful clinical efficacy, with fabulous result by patients
and investigators’ opinion on the positive therapeutic
effect, with no significant side effects noted. In summary,
this study demonstrates a New triple herbal extract with
anti-arthritic agents provides excellent clinical efficacy
in patients with osteoarthritis and/or joint pain with
arthritis.
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that may
develop into severe disability and pain. It is primarily
distinguished by the progressive loss of articular cartilage
and by severe reactive changes in the subchondral bone.
This continuously developing joint pain with acute flare
ups, joint enlargements, and severe limitation of movement
are most frequently manifested and require immediate attention
(Altman, 1991).
Over the past decade, several non steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAID) have been used to treat osteoarthritis and
other kinds of arthritis. But their usefulness has always
been limited because of their multiple adverse gastrointestinal
and renal side effects (Murray and Brater, 1990). There
were new classes of selective COX II inhibitors which have
been taken off the market recently by the FDA due to severe
side effects of cardiovascular diseases.
Max-Arthro is a new formulation of pure extractions of
herbs with multiple functions which may help with anti-inflammatory,
analgesic, and may improved micro-circulation with protection
against joint cartilage degeneration.
What makes Max-Arthro different?
An analysis of six hundred (600) different oriental herbs
that are widely used in past centuries for the treatment
of inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis in the Far
East resulted in researchers carefully selecting 53 herbs,
they studied their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-arthritic
activity with blood micro-circulation enhancing activities,
and inhibition of cartilage degeneration enzyme. Using
different biological screening system, they were able to
identify only 3 herbs, this special combination of Clematis
Chinensis, Trichosanthes Kirilowii and Prunella vulgaris
(Park et al., 1995; Ahn et al., 1996; Kim et al,. 1996).
In two separate medical centers in Seoul, Korea, 96 patients
with classic osteoarthritis of the knee were allocated
to this study. After 4 weeks of taking a combination of
these three essential herbal extracts, 3 times a day, the
efficacy rating reported by the research investigators,
with the agreement of the patient’s own assessment,
showed an incredible 95.8% improvement from “fair
to very good”. Safety and tolerability assessment
of all 96 patients showed no different than the placebo
group. There were also no clinical observable changes in
blood pressure, pulse rate, or any significant differences
in laboratory parameters, from serum biochemistry, urinalysis
or hematology on all the groups. It is truly an exciting
opportunity to offer a formulation in pure natural extraction
of herbs directed exclusively to the relief of pain and
inflammation with improvement of micro-circulation and
cartilage.
A special ginger extract (Gingerol) has been added to
this fabulous formulation. Ginger extract has been studied
as an effective alternative to NSAID therapy for arthritic
condition. A randomized, placebo controlled, cross-over
study comparing ginger extract with Ibuprofen was performed
on 75 individuals with arthritic in the hip or knee (Bliddal
et al, 2000). Patients who had received ginger extract
vs. Ibuprofen, study received significant improvement of
symptoms. The ginger extract (Dr. Phan, 2005, Journal of
Alternative Complimentary Medicine, Division of Arthritis
Surgery at John Hopkins University Medical School) shows
that it has positive suppression of inflammation in arthritis,
and is primary attributed to the suppression of pro-inflammatory
Cytokinins produced by the joints, found that ginger formulation
maybe useful in suppressing inflammation due to arthritis.
Dr. Patrick B. Massey, M.D. told the Chicago Daily Herald
on March 15, 2004 of the positive effect of ginger extract
on knee pain in patients with osteoarthritis, this was
published in the Arthritis and Rheumatism Journal, Vol
44, Nov 2001.
A unique, natural, and clinically proven formula for arthritis
with a 95.8% improvement reported by investigators and
patients without negative side effects, Max Arthro is an
outstanding technological breakthrough and remarkable product.
